How to Prep for Your Colonic

There are just a few tips to follow before you come in for your first Colon Hydrotherapy

session. These tips are for you to achieve the best results from your treatment.

  • Do not eat any food 2-3 hours prior to your appointment.

  • Drink plenty of fluids. Smoothies, broth soups, and raw juices are encouraged as they help release toxins in advance.

  • You may take magnesium to help with any cramping during your session.

  • Avoid dairy, meat, and caffeine **start one to two days before your treatment and continue the day of your treatment** this is to avoid stress on the liver and heavy food still digesting. We want your digestive organs to be in a relaxed state, as much as possible, so waste can be gently released.

  • Prior to your appointment, it's important to be relaxed. Your body will respond more effectively in a relaxed state, so take some time to unwind before your appointment.

  • After your colonic you will receive a probiotic and electrolyte drink. These are dairy, gluten, soy, and GMO free.

  • After your treatment, it's important to nourish your body with light and healthy meals. Steamed veggies, soups, smoothies, and raw juices are great options. Lean protein like fish or chicken are also great options. Remember to take care yourself and your body during this time.

  • Avoid processed foods, dairy, carbonated drinks, gas forming foods and alcohol. Vigorous exercise should also be avoided.

  • During treatment, a small amount of water may be absorbed, which can lead to an increase in the need to urinate. This is a normal reaction and will subside quickly.

  • You may experience some flatulence or light cramps. This is due to the gut bacteria multiplying back up to strength for up 48hrs post treatment.

  • Drinking peppermint, chamomile, ginger or fennel tea will help with any cramping . Also a heating pad can provide comfort.
