How to Prep for Your Colonic
To get the most out of your colon hydrotherapy session, a little preparation goes a long way. Here are a few simple tips to help you feel your best and support optimal results:

-
Avoid eating for 2-3 hours before your appointment.

-
Stay hydrated. Sip on water, herbal teas, smoothies, broth-based soups, or raw juices to help loosen toxins and keep things moving.
-
Magnesium is your friend. Magnesium citrate or glycinate may be taken the day before your session to support muscle relaxation and healthy bowel movements. This can help prepare your body for a smoother and more effective treatment.

-
Avoid dairy, meat, caffeine and heavy starches (such as bread, pasta and baked goods) starting one to two days before your appointment. These can slow digestion and place added strain on the liver and colon.

-
Take time to relax before your appointment. Your body responds best when it's in a calm state, so try to unwind and minimize stress beforehand.

If this is your first time, it's completely normal to feel a bit nervous. Colon hydrotherapy is a gentle, restorative treatment that supports digestive health and overall well-being. Give it a try and feel the difference for yourself!

Colonic After Care
Here are a few do's and don'ts post treatment :
-
After your colonic you will receive a probiotic and electrolyte drink. These are dairy, gluten, soy, and GMO free.
-
After your treatment, it's important to nourish your body with light and healthy meals. Steamed veggies, soups, smoothies, and raw juices are great options. Lean protein like fish or chicken are also great options. Remember to take care yourself and your body during this time.
-
Avoid processed foods, dairy, carbonated drinks, gas forming foods and alcohol. Vigorous exercise should also be avoided.
-
During treatment, a small amount of water may be absorbed, which can lead to an increase in the need to urinate. This is a normal reaction and will subside quickly.
-
You may experience some flatulence or light cramps. This is due to the gut bacteria multiplying back up to strength for up 48hrs post treatment.
-
Drinking peppermint, chamomile, ginger or fennel tea will help with any cramping . Also a heating pad can provide comfort.
